PROGRAM -
BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 Your assistance is requested in conducting a review of the enclosed submittal from the Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee or TVA) for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN) dated December 23, 1986.
As discussed with J.
Blake of your staff, the enclosed package represents a complete revision to the IST program at BFN.
The licensee indicates that the revised IST program should resolve previously identified questions and concerns pertaining to the current program.
Work for this review should be charged under TACs 11324,
- 11325, and 11326.
The requested completion date is July 1, 1987.
Please notify me as soon as possible if this completion date is acceptable.
The Project Manager for this review is G. Gears and he can be reached at 492-4993 (FTS).
In accordance with NRR Office Letter No. 44, each Safety Evaluation performed by a technical division shall have a separate SALP input provided.
Therefore, we are requesting that your forwarding memorandum contain a
SALP input for each Safety Evaluation performed.
