ENCLOSURE 7 Additional Comments

l. It is estimated that each diesel generator has (inadvertently) started 36 times a year automatically. These starts are not recorded.
2. The maintenance record indicates a successful start with an "X" under starts. It indicates the number of runs in each start with the numeral indicated. The length of the run and whether it was scheduled or unscheduled is also indicated. The last column indicates if the maintenance instruction was performed because other equipment was inoperative and the start was required by technical specifications.
3. It could not be determined whether the reactor was shut down or not when maintenance was performed.
4. The modification record indicates all modifications performed on the diesel to date.
5. The computer printout is TVA's list of all the Licensee Event Reports on the diesel generators for the time period indicated.
6. The maintenance summaries are all the trouble reports (TR) that have been performed on any of the diesel generators or equipment associated with them for the requested period.
