Dear Mr. Denton:

Carolina Power R Light Company (CPRL) hereby submits additional information concerning Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP).

By letters dated August 29, 1986 (Serial: NLS-86-318) and October 10, 1986 (NRC-090), CPRL committed to complete several activities with regard to the revision of the SHNPP EOPs.

A major milestone date in these letters was December 12, 1986.

The purpose of this letter is to confirm the completion of items targeted for December 12, 1986.

In previous correspondence, CPRL committed to perform a review of the EOPs for technical detail and for optimizing human factors aspects, This review has been completed and the respective procedure changes and changes to the Writer's Guide have been completed as of December 12, 1986.

The only item which has not yet been completed is NRC General Comment Item O.c. This item called for the review of the spacing of the type on the flowcharts.

The Writer's Guide has been revised to address spacing.

Item O.c willnow be complete by December 22, 1986.
