Dear Mr. Denton:
Carolina Power R Light Company submits a check in the amount of $201,071.00 for the operating license review for Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) Unit No. 1.
This payment is issued in response to BillNo. E-0780, dated April 29, 1986 covering the period December 23, 1980 through 3une 22, 1985 (reference attached).
The check is being sent directly to Ms. 3anet M. Rodriquez by copy of this letter.
Carolina Power R Light Company reserves the right to challenge the validity of the bill and to conduct future audits of the charges.
On December 21, 1983, CPitcL notified both the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of the cancellation of SHNPP Unit No. 2. Our concerns are related to the cancellation date of SHNPP Unit No. 2 versus the applicability of the rule and charges after December 21, 1983.
