Attached for your use is the subject report which demonstrates the design and functional adequacy of the Harris containment recirculation sumps.
The study was performed using the analytical methodology presented to members of your staff on September l8, 1985.
This methodology was developed using the guidance in the proposed resolution to Generic Safety Issue A-03. The meeting attendees list is attached as Enclosure 2.
Carolina Power R Light Company considers IDI Item D2.3-1 closed based upon the satisfactory completion and submittal of this report to the NRC. The Shearon Harris FSAR willbe appropriately revised in a future amendment.
