S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No.
3 to Construction Permit No.
CPPR-158 to chanae the name ot the co-owner from North Carolina I<unicipal Power Agency Number 3 to North Carolina Eastern t~unicipal Power Aaency, for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1 (thc facility), Shearon Harris is located in Wake and Chatham Counties, North Carolina.
The amendment is effective as the the date of issuance.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as required hy the Act and the Cow.ission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the amendment.
The Commission has also concluded that the amendment involves an action which is insignificant from the standpoint of environmental impact and that, pursuant to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4),
an environmental impact statement or neaative declaration
