& Light Company (CP&L) hereby transmits three (3) originals and sixty (60) copies of Amendment No.
11 to the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) ~
Amendment No.
11 consists of miscellaneous technical
- changes, revised positions on Regulatory Guides in Section 1.8, and editorial changes.
These changes are unrelated to NRC Draft Safety Evaluation Report Open Item Questions and do not contradict any of our responses to Open Items.
Also included in this amendment are revised pages incorporating the use of Hafniun control rods into the SHNPP design.
The safety analysis has not been changed because the control xod characteristics assumed are conservative with respect to Hafnium control rods.
Each revised page bears the amendment number.
Only those changes which are technical in nature axe indicated by vertical bars.
Instructions for entering the revised pages are included.
