Dear Mr. Denton:
In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Sections 50.90 and 2.101, Carolina Power
& Light Company hereby requests revisions to the Construction Permits for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2.
The proposed changes (attached) to Paragraphs 1.B and 2 reflect a legal name change for the North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 3.
Their new name is North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency.
In accordance with 10 CFR 170.22, we have determined the requested changes constitute a Class II and Class I amendment fee.
Accordingly, our check for $ 1,600.00 is enclosed.

Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Construction Permit Amendment The following are suggested replacement paragraphs to amend the SHNPP Construction Permits CPPR-158 and CPPR-159 to reflect the name change of the North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 3 to North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency:

Revise paragraph 1.B as follows:
B.
The Carolina Power
& Light Company and North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency (the applicants) have described the proposed design of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.
1* (the facility), including, but not limited to the principal architectural and engineering criteria for the design and have identified the major features or components incorporated therein for the protection of the health and safety of the public; 2.
Revise paragraph 2 as follows:
Whereas the Carolina Power
& Light Company and North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency, as co-owners, will share in the ownership of the facility, the Carolina Power
& Light Company shall retain exclusive responsibility for the design and construction of the facility.
