Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby documents that, as a result of a March 22, 1983 telephone conversation with the Staff, two Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) Open Items (CP8L Open Items Nos. 60 and 62) are considered closed. The Staff acknowledged these Open Items to be closed as a result of information submitted in our November 15, 1982 letter.

In accordance with Generic Letter No. 82-14, CP&L hereby transmits one original and forty copies of this letter. Carolina Power & Light Company will be providing responses to other Open Items in the DSER shortly.
