Transmittal of Shearon Harris Draft SER This letter transmits the Draft Safety Evaluation Report (DSER) for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
This evaluation is being performed on the material submitted in the FSAR (docI:eted on December 22, 1981),
subsequent amendments, and responses to questions raised by the initial NRC review. It is expected that additionh, deletions or modifications will occur to many parts of the DSER as it evolves toward the final SER to be iseued in November, 1983.
The DSER is primarily used to document the current state of the NRC review.
I<ore specifically, it identifies the areas where information either has not been supplied, incomplete information has been supplied or a disagreement of approach exists.
These areas have been tabulated in Chapter 1 of the DSER.
Timely submittals by you along with meetings with the staff will be required to maintain our licensing schedule and achieve our goal of resolving all items by SER issue date.
