1 AND 2 DOCKET NOS. 50-400 AND 50-401 OPERATING LICENSE HEARING'ear Mr. Denton:
By letter dated December 18,.3.981, Carolina Power
& Light Company (CP&L) submitted, for docketing, copies of the Application for Operating License, the Final Safety Analysis Report, and the Environmental Report
. Operating License Stage for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
Additionally, CP&L requested that only Unit 1 be considered for an operating license at this time, due to the interval between commercial operation of Unit 1 and Unit 2.
Upon further review of this request, CP&L has determined it to be more appropriate to consider both units at the same time for an operating license.
Therefore, the Federal Register notice published pursuant to 10CFR2.105 should afford the opportunity for a hearing for the consideration of both Unit 1 and Unit 2 operating licenses.
