Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

Your letter of October 1, 1980,requested specific data on environmental qualification. testing of safety-related equipment to be performed within the next two years.

The environmental qualification testing required of safety-related equipment for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) is being conducted for Carolina Power Light Company (CP&L) by our architect-engineer, Ebasco Services, Incorporated, and by our NSSS vendor, Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Attached please find a listing of tests planned for SHNPP equipment supplied by the architect-engineer during the next two years.

Equipment supplied by our NSSS vendor will be tested in accordance with the Westinghouse Environmental Qualification Program Plan. It is our under-standing that planned testing under that Program Plan is being forwarded to you directly by Westinghouse.

We trust that this information is responsive to your present needs.
