Dear Mr. Lovelace:
On June 18, 1980, Carolina Power 6 Light Company, changed.the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant project construction. schedule.
The scheduled fuel loading dates were revised for a one-year delay for Unit Nos.
1 and 2 and a three-year delay for Unit Nos.
3 and 4.
These revisions reflect a slower rate growth in customer demand. than previously projected.
Under the revised schedule, the first unit will go into operation in 1985, the second in 1988, and the third and fourth units are delayed until 1994 and 1992,- respectively.
Such changes will affect the milestone network
- schedule, but time restraints have not allowed a detailed enough analysis to permit development of a revised logic network.
New start and completion dates for each node will be, available by the next reporting period and will be identified and transmitted with.our monthly scheduling informat:ion report.
For the current month, we have elected to eliminate, for each applicable
- node, those start and completion dates which are no longer appropriate in view of the overall revised in-service schedule.
The percent complete-for each activity being worked has been updated to reflect progress t:hrough June 30, 1980.
The scheduling information requested by, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission is attached.
