QUARTERLY DATA REPORT SHNPP SEISMIC MONITORING PROGRAM OCTOBER 1 1979
DECEMBER 31 1979 Carolina Power 6 Light Company has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
During this period a total of 162 cultural events were recorded with, an S-P, of less than 5 seconds.
No local earthquakes were 'detected.
Of these 162 events, 150 were confirmed as being explosions by the responsible companies or agencies.
The remaining 12 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern of previously identified cultural events and all of them occurred during daylight hours.
Only one of these events was recorded on a weekend or holiday:
