RIPTI N Items are divided into five categories (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, and Z5).
Categories Z1 and Z2 require some type of "NRC action" to support the plant (i.e., issue Technical Specification changes, approve relief requests, etc.).
Category Z3 items glen< require "NRC action" to support the plant (i.e., CP&L responses to Generic Letters and Bulletins, FSAR amendment submittal, etc.).
Category Z4 items (not attached) are those items already submitted to the NRC for which CP&L needs no response.
Closeout is tracked as an indication of additional NRC workload competing for resources with Z1 and Z2.
Category Z5 items are potential Technical Specification changes or submittals which are presently unscheduled.
Items which are of greatest importance to plant operations generally are grouped in Category Zl.
Items within a category are prioritized by letter designation with "A," representing the highest priority.
Priorities are established through discussions with the Manager - Regulatory Compliance.
r The "target" schedules are established through discussions with the NRC PM, recognizing plant "need dates" as well as the need to levelize demand on NRC resources.
"RD" denotes a required date to which some specific plant action is tied.
