TO GENERIC LETTER 90-03 FOR SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 -

(TAC NO. 76243)

On March 20, 1990, the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 90-03, "Relaxation of Staff Position in Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.2 Part 2 'Vendor Interface for Safety-related Components'."

The GL requested that all licensees and applicants review their present vendor interface programs and modify them as necessary using the guidance supplied in the GL.

By letter dated September 25, 1990, Carolina Power 8 Light Company responded to Generic Letter 90-03 and indicate that the programs have been implemented, in accordances with the guidance given in the GL.

The staff has reviewed your response and finds it acceptable.

This action closes TAC No. 76243.
