SUBJECT:
SHEARON HARRIS REQUAL RETAKE EXAMINATION REPORT 400/OL-90-02 On April 17,
- 1990, the NRC administered examinations to employees of your company who currently hold licenses to operate your Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant.
At the conclusion of the examination, the examination questions and preliminary findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in,the enclosed report.
This examination was a
retake of the NRC administered requalification simulator, written and walkthrough examination for those individuals who failed the examination given in October of 1989.
There was no program evaluation associated with this examination.
In addition, an initial operating examination retake was given to one individual that failed the operating examination.
Your attention is directed to Enclosure 1, Report Details, paragraph 3.
The findings outlined in this paragraph indicate further dialogue on examination development techniques is necessary prior to the next examination.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.190(a),
a copy of this letter and Enclosures 1
and 4 will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
Enclosures 2 and 3
are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a) and will not be sent to the Public Document Room.
