This refers to the Nuclear" Regulatory
Commission
(NRC) inspection
conoucted
by
William P. Kleinsorge, P.E.,
on July 31 - August 4 and August 14-18,
1969.
The
inspection
included
a revievr of activities authorized for your Harris facility.
At the conclusion of the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with those
members of your staff identified in xhe enclosed
inspection report.
Areas
examined
during
the
inspection
ar'e identified in the report.
The
inspection
was
performance
based,
directed
toward evaluation
of equipment
conditions,
observat>on
of in-process
maintenance
activities,
review of
equipment
histories,
and
evaluation
of performance
indicators,
maintenance
control procedures,
and the overall maintenance
program.
The inspection findings are
summarized
in the Executive
Summary of the report.
In general,
the. findings
show that you
have
developed
a
good maintenance
program with good implementation,
Particularly noteworthy in contributing to
at) overall
good
program
was
a
good data
base
and equipment
records
systems.
Your attention
is invited to the weaknesses
identified in the report.
While
the weaknesses
were not significant
enough to affect the
assessment
of your
maintenance
program
and implementation,
they do point out some areas that need
attention.
Within the
scope
of
the
inspection,
no violations
or deviations
were
identified.
Your attention
is invited .to an unresolved
item identified in the inspection
report.
This matter will be pursued
during future inspections.
