Dear Dr. Grace:
As required by Shearon Harris Technical Specification 3.7.8 and FSAR Chapter 16.3, Technical Specification Equipment
- Lists, Carolina Power
& Light Company provides notification regarding the snubber functional testing program to be implemented during the first refueling
- outage, currently scheduled to commence on July 16, 1988.
Functional testing will be conducted as follows'.
(1)
Hydraulic snubbers will be tested per the 10X sample plan, as specified in FSAR 16.3, Table 16.3-4, Section 4.5.1.
(2)
Mechanical snubbers will be tested per the "37" plan, as specified in FSAR 16.3, Table 16.3-4, Section 4.5.2, and Figure 16.3-1.
