SUBJECT SHEARON HARRIS RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLAN REVIEW DOCKET NO. 50-400 We have completed our review of Revision ll to the Shearon Harris Radiological Emergency Plan dated July 24, 1987.

Our review indicated that the changes made to your Emergency Plan were consistent with the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50.

Please be reminded that 10 CFR 50.54(q) requires NRC approval of any changes to your Plan which may decrease the effectiveness of the Plan.

However, if your safety review indicated no decrease'in the level of emergency preparedness, then changes can be made without NRC approval.

In all cases, you should furnish copies of each proposed change

.to the NRC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Also, any changes to the Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures should be made in accordance with the requirements of 10 CRR 50.
