Dear Mr. Denton:

This letter supplements our December 31, 1986 letter on this subjects Mr. E. Brooks has successfully completed his annual requalification written examination and will resume his shift duties'rs D. Batton is currently recovering from a successful thyroid operation.

In the interim, CP&L will operate with four qualified shifts, rotating on a 12-hour shift basis.

The experienced operators on each shift, who fully meet the requirements of Generic Letter 84-16, are:

Barmann (Senior Control Operator)

Brooks (Shift Foreman)

Garner (Shift Foreman)

Kyser (Shift Foreman)

This four-shift rotation also meets the requirements regarding number of hours to be worked by each shift during each week. If you have any questions on this subject or require additional information, please contact me.
