SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT ON EXEMPTION REQUEST FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF APPENDIX E, SECTION IV.F.1 We have evaluated your request for an exemption from the provisions of 10 CFR 50, Appendix E,Section IV.F.1 for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant, and have prepared the enclosed Safety Evaluation Report (SER).
However, the transmittal of this SER does not grant the requested exemption.
That matter is currently under consideration by the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, and is before the Commission for consideration as to whether a hearing is warranted.
