Dear Mr. Denton:
Carolina Power R Light Company hereby reports on the qualification status of safety-related equipment as it relates to the confirmatory issues in the Shearon Harris Safety Evaluation Report, NUREG-1038, Supplement No. 3, Section 3.10.
Seismic qualification of safety-related equipment is complete.
Components have been seismically qualified in accordance with the criteria presented in FSAR Sections 3.9.2 and 3.10.
In addition, active safety-related pumps and valves have been reviewed for operability qualification as described in FSAR Section 3.9.3.2.
The operability qualification is complete and the equipment is considered qualified.
