Carolina Power R Light Company hereby submits ten (10) copies of "Change 3" (dated May 20, 1986) to the "North Carolina Emergency Response Plan in Support of the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP)." These pages should be incorporated into your copies of the plan as explained in the accompanying memorandum from the Director of the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management.
Change 3 includes revisions to Annex E, Emergency Broadcast System Procedures.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)tone alert radio system will be utilized in the unlikely event of an accident/incident at SHNPP.
This revision also calls for the State of North Carolina and Wake County as the lead coordinating agencies for public notification and warning.
