Dear Mr. Denton:
Carolina Power '2 Light Company (CPRL) hereby submits a revised commitment concerning requalification training for mitigating core damage in response to NUREG-0737, Item II.B.O. Shift Technical Advisors and operating personnel from the plant general manager through the operations chain including licensed operators will complete mitigating core damage training. Only licensed operators willreceive annual retraining per the licensed operator requalification program.
Managers and technicians in the Instrumentation and Control, Health Physics, and Chemistry Sections willreceive training commensurate with their responsibilities, but willnot receive retraining.
The above commitments concerning retraining for mitigating core damage supersede CPRL's previous commitments transmitted by letter dated 3uly 25, 1983.
