Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the status of corrective action being taken to resolve violation RII: GFM/RLP 50-000/83-37-01, "Failure to Control Electrical Cable Installation" and to establish a new projected full compliance date.
As previously reported, the Harris Plant Engineering Section has now issued design criteria to control past and future cable support within safety related panels.
Rework and reinspection has been accomplished for the majority of major safety equipment.
This rework consists of the removal of adhesive backed support bases and installation of approved support in accordance with the approved design criteria.
Efforts are still underway to identify and rework the remaining safety related equipment which may have unapproved cable support materials installed. It is now projected that full compliance will be achieved by April 15, 1985.
