In response to a request from your Staff, Carolina Power
& Light Company (CP6L) is herewith providing several attachments to assist the Staff in conducting their review of Amendment No.
5 to the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP) Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) which was submitted on April 13, 1983.
These attachments itemize the information provided in Amendment No. 5.
Amendment No.
5 contains only the following information:
(1)
Information from our responses to certain Safety Review Questions.
(2)
Revisions to Regulatory Guide Positions in FSAR Chapter 1.
(3)
Revisions,to the Organization of the SHNPP Nuclear Operations Department in FSAR Chapter 13.
(4)
Miscellaneous changes.
(5)
Miscellaneous typographical and editorial revisions.
Attachment 1 is an itemization of the NRC Safety Review Questions (SRQ's) that are addressed in FSAR Amendment No. 5.
This attachment provides the SRQ Number, the date of CPGL's response submittal, and the FSAR section revised.
Attachment 2 is an itemization of the miscellaneous changes in Amendment No. 5.
Attachment 3 provides a listing to cross reference the figure numbers referred to in the text of our SRQ responses to the comparable figures provided in FSAR Amendment No. 5.
For your assistance, we are also transmitting a copy of all SRQ's listed by number (Attachment 4).
