126 The response to NRC Question 430.64 is acceptable except for the last portion. If the vent line is non-safety, it should be at least seismically supported.
The NRC asked how the system would respond if there was a failure of the vent line.
~Res ense The crankcase vent line from the diesel engine is non-safety class and non-seismic.
Rupture or breakage of the subject line will not impede engine capability to start or operate as required.
In case the crankcase vent line fails, the vent doors provided on the diesel engine will open at Oe7 psig without jeopardizing engine performance.
