SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT UNIT NOS. 1, 2, 3, AND 4 DOCKET NOS. 50-400, 50-401,.50-402, AND 50-403 IE BULLETIN 79-11

Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In response to your letter of May 22, 1979, Carolina Power

& Light Company (CP&L) has investigated for the use of Westinghouse type DB-50 and DB-75 circuit breakers in safety related systems at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant (SHNPP).

The results of the investigation indicate that there are no Westinghouse DB-50 and DB-75 circuit breakers planned for use in safety related systems at SHNPP.

Therefore, CP&L plans no further action with regard to your letter.
