On-Hay 16,
1997, the
NRC completed
an inspection at your Turkey Point Plant.
The enclosed report presents
the results of .that inspection.
During the week of Hay 12-16,
1997,
an inspection team observed
selected
'ortions
of your emergency organization's
response
in key facilities during
the emergency
preparedness
plume exposure exercise
conducted
on Hay 13,
1997.
The-emergency
response
observed
during the simulated accident
was considered
satisfactory.
Your attention is directed to the exercise
weakness identified in Paragraph=
P4.2.b. of the enclosed
Inspection Report.
As required by Section IV.F of
Appendix E to 10 CFR Part 50,
any weakness that,is identified shall
be
corrected.
Accordingly, please
advise us, within 45 days of the date of this
letter, of the corrective action you have taken, or plan to take,
showing the
estimated
date of completion with regard to this exercise
weakness.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room
(PDR).
