NOTICF. OF GRANTINI-.'0. "RELIE,'.FROM:ASHEhSECTION'XI INSERVICE INSPECTION REOUI'RE,"1ENT The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted relief from certain requirements of the ASME Code,Section XI, "Rules for Inservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components" to Florida Power and Light Company (the licensee).
The relief relates to the inservice inspection examination requirements and the acceptability of alternative methods at the Turkey Point Plant, Unit Nos.
3 and 4 (the facilities) located in Dade County, Flori'da.
The ASME Code requirements are incorporated by reference into the Commission's rules and regulations, in 10 CFR Part 50.
The relief is effective as of the date of issuance.

h The relief permits the licensee to perform inservice inspections in a manner or on a schedule different from that prescribed; in Section XI of the AS!3E Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and applicable
- Addenda, as required by 10 CF~ 50, because of inaccessibility, configuration of components, radiation level, or other valid,reasons.
The request for relief complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Enemy Act of 1954,, as amended (the Act>, and the Commission's rules and regulations.
