Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Control of Combustib',es involves',

among other things, the installation of emergency diesel tank isolation valves.

Delivery of these valves was expected on June 9,

1981 and completion was then expected on August 2, 1981.

Due to, continuing procurement problems only two of the four required valves have been delivered.

The delivery date of the remaining two valves has slipped to September 1, 1981, and the completion date has accordingly slipped to November 1, 1981.

Adequate interim protection is provided as described in the Fire Protection Report dated February 25, 1977 Section 8.5.3.13.

In addition, frequent patrols by guard force and operations personnel would detect any off-normal condition of the type requiring the modifications.

Based on our review, we conclude that you have shown good cause for extending the completion date of the item listed and that the public health and safety is not adversely affected by the extension requested.

Accordingly, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.48(d) the completion date for the item listed is extended as requested.
