RII:JPO 50-250, 50-251 IE Bulletin 79-17 The ASME Section XI visual examinations requested by Item 2(a) of the subject Bulletin have been completed with the exception of the discharge portion of the Containment Spray, Pumps.

The results'have been satisfactory, and are available f'r detailed review at the plant site.

The remaini'ng visual examinations will be completed by October 31, 1979.

We will advise you if any of the results are unsatisfactory.

We have learned, through informal contacts with the NRC and other utilities, that Bulletin 79-17 is being revised.

Therefore, to permit the most efficient use of our resources, we plan to reschedule further work on the Bulletin after we have received and reviewed the revision.
