I am responding to your April 1, 1999, letter to Chairman Jackson expressing your support for Florida Power & Light Company's (FP8L) request for waiver of the applicable review fees associated with the application for license renewal for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4.
It is our understanding that FP8L intends to submit an application for license renewal forTurkey Point Units 3 and 4 by the end of the year 2000. The September 17, 1998, letter from Samuel J.
Collins, Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, informed FP&Lthat those portions ofthe submittal (when received) that are determined to have generic benefit willbe accounted for separately and no fee willbe assessed.,
Your letter willbe kept on file and willbe taken into consideration when FP8L's application for license renewal is received.
