SUBJECT:
DONALDC. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - WITHDRAWALOF AN AMENDMENTREQUEST TO CORRECT ADMINISTRATIVEISSUES IN THE TECHNICALSPECIFICATIONS (TAC NOS. M98435AND AND M98436)
Dear Mr. Powers:
By letter dated March 26, 1997, you applied for an amendment to the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-58 and DPR-74. The proposed change would have modified the facilitytechnical specifications to correct administrative errors.
Subsequently, you determined that you would not pursue this issue; and, in a telephone conversation on December 11,1998, between Mr. Gordon Arent of your staff and me, you explained that you planned to withdraw the amendment.
Unless you notify us by Jariuary 11, 1999, that this is incorrect, we willconsider the application as withdrawn and willfile a Notice of Withdrawal of Application forAmendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication and close this action.
