Dear Mr. Dolan:
By letter dated April 10, 1986, the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company advised the Comission of agreement with the conclusions in WCAP-11092, "Investigations on Undervoltage Trip Attachments for Cause of Misoperation at D. C.
Cook Unit 2 on 10/29/85."
Our contractor, Franklin Research
- Center, has completed its review of the report and we agree with their findings.
We do not believe that the WCAP-11092 has adequately addressed the issues on the breaker failure but we do believe that the matter should no longer be directed through the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company.
We will pursue the matter directly with the vendor.
We appreciate the IMEC assistance in this matter and comend you for the management attention and devotion to safety.
