MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES MARCH 1996 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered this reporting period in Mode 1 at 100%
RTP.
Reactor power was decreased to 92%
RTP March 15, 1996 at 1955 to conduct Main Turbine control valve testing.
Reactor power was stabilized at 100%
RTP March 16, 1996 at 0130.
A reactor trip occurred March 17, 1996 at 1527 as a result of a Main Feed pump differential pressure controller failure. Following investigation, the unit was placed back on line and Reactor power was stabilized at 100%
RTP March 20, 1996 at 1200.
The unit exited this reporting period in Mode 1 at 100%
RTP.
There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.
Gross electrical generation for the month of March was 742860 MWH.
