1996 Page 1 of 2 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 1995 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered this reporting period in Mode 1 at 100% RTP.
Reactor power was decreased to 94%
RTP December 7,
1995 at 1641 to recover from a Moisture Separator Reheater transient caused by a tube bundle isolation.
Reactor power was stabilized at 100%
RTP December 8,
1995 at 0845 to meet system demands.
Reactor power was decreased to 95%
RTP December 8,
1995 at 2052 to place the Moisture Separator Reheaters in service.
Reactor power was stabilized at 100%
RTP December 9,
1995 at 0400. Reactor power was decreased to 55%
RTP December 10, 1995 at 0518.
Main Feed Pump condenser cleanings were performed following high differential pressures on the traveling screens caused by large amounts of storm intake debris,.
Reactor power was stabilized at 100%
RTP December 11, 1995 at 1445.
The unit exited this reporting period in Mode 1 at 100%
RTP.
There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.
Gross electrical generation for the month of December was 819360 MWH.
