Cook Unit 2 G.J. Costello (616) 465-5901 July 3, 1992 1 of 1 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES JUNE 92 HIGHLIGHTS The unit entered the reporting in Mode 5 with the Reactor Coolant System filled and vented and an average temperature of 187 F.
The reactor was made critical on June 15, 1992 at 0202.
Low power physics testing was completed on June 16, 1992 at 0135.
The first entry to Mode 1 was made on June 19, 1992 at 0107.
Following the initial entry to Mode 1, the reactor power has been changed during the remainder of this reporting period as required to support the main turbine vibration evaluation and balancing efforts.
There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.
Gross electrical generation for the month of June was 0
MWH.

The RCS is in Mode 4.

RCS is at no-load pressure and temperature.

The reactor is in Mode l.
Rolled the Main Turbine for first time.
0951 Notification to NRC to report failure of FRV-240 to close during power reduction.
For the remainder of the month efforts have been on going to balance the main turbine.
The reactor power has been changed as required to support the main turbine vibration evaluation and balancing efforts.
