CLARIFICATION OF NRC SAFETY EVALUATION ON COOK ATMS MITIGATION SYSTEM ACTUATION CIRCUITRY (AMSAC)
In a letter dated April 14, 1989 the staff transmitted a -Safety Evaluation (SE) which concluded that the AMSAC design proposed for D.
C.
Cook was acceptable provided that isolation device qualification testing was satisfactorily completed.
In a letter to the staff dated August 11, 1989 American Electric Power (AEP) identified some minor nomenclature inconsistencies between the April 14, 1989 SE and the AEP submittals discussing the AMSAC design at D.
C.
Cook.
The staff acknowledges that ther e were some minor nomenclature inconsistencies contained in the SE.
The following changes should rectify the inconsistencies:
Change the last sentence of Section 3.0-5 of the SER:

The continuous indication of the AMSAC bypass will be displayed by
