- Report, issued on Nay 26, 1981 and D. C.'Xook's subsequent submittals dated September 23, 1981, February 26, 1982, April 6,.1982, -April 7, 1982, and June ll, 1982.
This Safety Evaluation Report presents the rbhults of the Environmental gualification Review for safety-related electrical equip-
- ment, exposed to a harsh environment, in acaordance with NRC requirements.
We request that yourppovide your plans for qualification or&eplacement of the equipment in NRC categories I.B, II.A'and II.B (presented in the Technical Evaluation Report) and the schedulefor accomplishing your

pdpposed corrective actions to us within ninety (90) days of the recetipt of this letter.
We understand that some of this information may have been provided in your November 3, 1982 letter which was not inUluded in the Safety Evaluation Report or the Technical'Evaluation Report.
As indicated in the conclusion section of the Safety Evaluation Report, we request that you reaffirm the Justification for continued operation and within thkHy (30) dang.of.receipt of this letter, submit information for
'tems in NRC categories I.B, II.A and II.B (presented in the enclosed Technical Evaluation Report) for which Justification for conti:nued operation was not previously submitted Co the NRC.
We suggest that the clarification set forth in item 8 of Generic Letter No. 82-09, "Clarification guestions and Answers of Environmental gualification Requirements,"
should be considered in your justification for continued operation.
The Technical Evaluation Report contained certain identified information which you have~reviously,claimed to be proprietary.
We request that yo0r,inform us=as indicated in the proprietary section of the Safety Evaluation'Report whether any portions of the identified pages still require proprietary protection.
At your option, the staff will be available to discuss the findings in the Safety. Evaluation Report as augmented by the Technical Evaluation Report.
Your November 3, 1982 letter, as you may wish to further supplement, could serv4 as the basis for these discussions.
