1994, from Qilliam L. Stewart of APS to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission transmitting a supplement to the proposed changes to the quality assurance program description.

Me have completed our review of the proposed changes to the PVNGS quality assurance

program, including clarifications, transmitted to us by the referenced correspondence.

The quality assurance program changes described in the subject submittal were reviewed in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(a) and the acceptance criteria specified in NUREG-0800, "Standard Review Plan," Sections 9.5 and 17.2.

Your letter dated July 7, 1994 included specific criteria for alternatives to the engineer-in-charge degree requirement.

The proposed amended insert is acceptable after removing the words "engineering technology" from line five.

Our evaluation of your submittals determined that all the proposed revisions contained in Reference 1,

as clarified by Reference 2 and as modified by the paragraph above with regard to the alternatives to the engineer-in-charge
