ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTERGY OPERATIONS, INC. THIRD AND FINAL SIX MONTHS STATUS NOTIFICATION IN RESPONSE TO CONFIRMATORY ORDER EA-15-100 (ML16098A302), WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3

Dear Mr. Dinelli:

This letter is to acknowledge that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received your letter, dated October 2, 2017, notifying us that Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 has satisfied the activities for the Confirmatory Order, dated April 6, 2016, and provided the basis for concluding that all items / terms of the Confirmatory Order have been completed.

The NRC tentatively plans to conduct a follow-up inspection during the triennial fire protection inspection, beginning the week of July 30, 2018, in accordance with Inspection Procedure 92702, Followup on Traditional Enforcement Actions Including Violations, Deviations, Confirmatory Action Letters, Confirmatory Orders, and Alternative Dispute Resolution Confirmatory Orders. The triennial fire protection inspection will be supplemented by one inspector during the first onsite week of the inspection to conduct Inspection Procedure 92702.
