OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 16, 1993 TO DISCUSS THE REVIEW LEVEL EARTHQUAKE FOR THE PALO VERDE INDIVIDUALPLANT EXAMINATION FOR EXTERNAL EVENTS On February 16, 1993, the NRC staff met with Arizona Public Service Company (APS) and its consultants to discuss the review level earthquake (RLE) for the Palo Verde individual plant examination for external events (IPEEE) being conducted pursuant to NRC Generic Letter 88-20.

The meeting was held pursuant to notice issued on February 1,

1993.

A list of attendees is enclosed (Enclosure 1).

A The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and clarify where necessary the NRC staff's request for additional information of February 9,

1993, in which the NRC staff provided additional questions and identified seismic hazard sensitivity studies that must be responded to if the APS request to lower the RLE from 0.5g to 0.3g is to be considered further.
