Dear Hr. Conway:

71695, AND 71696)

On August 8, 1988, Generic Letter (GL) 88-14 was issued to all holders of operating licenses for nuclear power reactors.

It requested a review, of NUREG-1275, Volume 2, a design/operations verification of the instrument air

system, and a program description for maintaining air quality.

By letters dated February 20 and April 27, 1989, you responded to the generic letter.

In addition, you submitted a compressed gas report by letter of October 16, 1989, and responded to NRC staff requests for additional information in letters dated April 6-and November 20, 1990.

We have completed our review of your responses identified above and find them acceptable.

As stated in GL 88-14, you should retain the records associated with, this verification effort for possible audit by the NRC staff and provide written notification to us when all actions associated with this generic letter are complete.
