-This refers to the investigation conducted by the NRC Office of Investigations regarding alleged harassment at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
This investigation consisted of interviews'of personnel and review of selected documents.
Attached for your information is the synopsis of the investigation.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this investigation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.

SYNOPSIS On Hay 12, 19&9, the Regional Administrator, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region V, requested that.an investigation be initiated concernimg alleged death threats received by an employee of Arizona Public Service Company, Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
The employee alleged, that as a result of a favorable ruling received in connection with a Department of Labor job discrimination suit, the employee had been subjected to threats and harassment.
Local law enforcement authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation were immediately notified of the alleged threats to the employee in order to ensure the employee's safety.

The investigation-did not develop sufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation that the employee was threatened or harassed as a result of the employee engaging in protected activities.
Further, the investigation determined that there was.not sufficient evidence developed to support a
.conclusion that licensee management directed or condoned the alleged death threats or harassment of the employee.
