RE(VEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - 10 CFR 50.59 ANNUAL REPORT FOR 1988; PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATION STATION (TAC NO. 73747)

As part of the NRC's regulatory responsibilities, the staff audits licensee 10 CFR 50.59 annual reports to confirm that the provisions of the regulations are being properly implemented.

Based upon our review of Arizona Public Service Company's 10 CFR 50.59 annual report for Palo Verde dated June 28, 1989, we find that additional information is required in order for us to complete our audit.

The information being sought is the 10 CFR 50.59 evaluation package for the changes listed in the Enclosure.

We ask that the requested information be provided within 30 days from receipt of this letter.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

The reporting and/or recordkeeping requirements of this letter affect fewer than ten respondents; therefore, OMB clearance is not required under P.L.96-511.
