to Generic Letter 89-06 File:
89-010-026; 89-056-026 This letter provides the information requested by Reference (1), Generic Letter 89-06, concerning the implementation status of the PVNGS Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS).
Arizona Public Service (APS) has performed a detailed evaluation of SPDS implementation.
The results of this evaluation indicate that APS will need to implement a number of items to meet and maintain the requirements of NUREG-
- 0737, Supplement 1, taking into account the information provided in NUREG-1342.
Therefore, APS provides the following for the certification of the PVNGS SPDS:
APS certifies that the PVNGS SPDS will be modified to fully meet the requirements of NUREG-0737, Supplement 1,
taking into account the information provided in NUREG-1342.
APS willmaintain for three (3) years the supporting documentation, including the completed checklist and photographs used to determine the SPDS implementation status.
