INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM.FOR PUMPS AND VALVES - PALO VERDE NUCLEAR'ENERATING STATION (TAC NOS. 64953,
- 64954, AND 64955)
By letter dated November 15, 1988, the staff, issued its Safety Evaluation (SE) regarding the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS) Inservice Testing (IST) Program.
That SE omitted the evaluation for Pump Rel.ief. Requests Nos.
7 and 8 as described by Arizona Nuclear Power Project IST Program submittal dated August 11, 1986.
We have reviewed the above identified relief requests in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 550.55a and conclude that Pump Relief Request No.
7 is acceptable, and is therefore granted.
Pump Relief Request No. 8, however, is denied on the basis set forth in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
