SUBJECT:
PALO VERDE, UNIT 2 - CEA GUIDE TUBE WEAR INSPECTION PROGRAM By letter dated August 20, 1987, you provided the details of the planned CEA Guide Tube Wear Inspection Program for Palo Verde Unit 2.
We have completed our review of the subject program.
Based on that review, we conclude that the sample size, selection method and test methodology presented in the program provide an acceptable basis for conducting such an inspection.
Therefor e, implementation of the program can proceed.
At the conclusion of the inspection, we request that you provide us with a report which includes your evaluation of the final results.
